Today’s Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah-APRIL 24, 2024
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—and for me.
Ephesians 6:18-19
The apostle Paul’s description of the Christian’s spiritual armor is beautifully crafted. But he concludes his description of the armor with an admonition which has nothing to do with a soldier’s armor for warfare: prayer. But even though prayer is not something we “put on,” we get Paul’s sense—that prayer is the key to being “strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10).
Because spiritual warfare can occur in every area of life, Paul writes that we are to pray “on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” (Ephesians 6:18, NIV). This echoes his words in Philippians 4:6: to pray about everything. And to pray for “all the saints.” We can pray that God’s people everywhere would put on the armor of God and stand strong in the Lord—especially those, like Paul, who are called to spread the Gospel to those who haven’t heard.
When you pray for your own needs, pray also for God’s people everywhere to stand strong and spread the Gospel.
Faith cannot grow outside the environment of prayer.J. C. P. Cockerton

Footnote
Last night, Tuesday April 23, 2024, during our International Armor of God Coin Challenge Men’s Group, 13 of us shared our “highs and lows” for the week including updates on our ministries and families. At the same time, the New York Armor of God Challenge Coin Men’s Group was having its in person meeting with 8 men.
From our International Zoom meeting, we had a number of prayer requests. I was sitting in my home in South Eastern Pennsylvania near Philadelphia and I was able to experience men praying for each other, prayers for Ministies and for our Families and Children. Prayers from men sitting in India to Africa to the East Coast of The USA, Delaware, then North to Canada and across America to the West Coast, California. I got to experience Pastors and and my Brothers, Men of God, Pray in one continuous prayer that stretched over 8,500 miles across continents and multiple countries with over a 13 hour time difference, all in real time! It was as if we were in the same room. Such an honor for me to be a part of such a group of strong men and to hear their hearts and have an opportunity to pray for each other. It is just a cheap piece of shiny metal, but what it represents is the most powerful force in the Universe. Pray Always! - Don coin 0001
